window grills for windows old -? We recently moved into a house with old casement windows replacement. The windows have no window bars (which resembles that used for holding panes in place). Do not know the brand of window (Anderson, Pella, off the mark, etc.) and I was wondering if anyone knew a place to do some shopping that we could even just stick - it has the look so bad without them the edge. Thank you!
Grids are unique to each manufacturer. A manufacturer of parts does not correspond to a different window. This is because the window size, frame types, and restraint systems are not standardized. The manufacturer's name is there, somewhere. Check the windows, sash, and equipment for brands. Same as you can not understand, can mean something for the seller to the lumber yard. If all else fails, try to pull the handle or a screen and showing it to the court. Someone must know what it is.
