Add an outdoor room to your living space

Have you ever noticed how most people who see a beautiful garden want to stop, breathe the perfume, admiring the colors and focus for a moment? You can do the beauty of nature year part of your life by turning a portion of your lawn or garden in a room "outdoors".

By following the four tips below from the American Association of Nurserymen (AAN), you can turn your lawn an unused space into a meeting place with family and friends.

Tip # 1

Create an outdoor "room" in framing an area of your lawn with shrubs, trees, flowers or shrubs. Build in privacy by planting more trees around the outside perimeter of your room. Add color with annuals and bulbs.

Tip # 2

Think about how you use your outdoor room and plan accordingly. If you want to offer a place for your children to play and your pets to frolic, choose plants that are more robust and place your flower beds trying to play off places.

Tip # 3

Add charm to your outdoor room by including whimsical garden accessories like bird baths, terracotta and ceramic pots or garden pets colorful potted plants .

Tip # 4

Use a deck or patio, a garden bench or gazebo to make your outdoor space a place of fun and easy create shade tree or trellis covered with vines. Invite a friend over, pour some lemonade, sit back and relax.
