Welding Equipment And Supplies

Welding Equipment And SuppliesWelding question: nitrogen tank?

I have a project at home for which I need welding done. I hired a person. He is a welder by trade, but not his own material - I'm providing the tools and supplies. I have everything you need except a tank with nitrogen. I checked local stores and welding supply or I need to order a large reservoir for plants obscene, or I hit a dead end entirely.

Is there another way to get the nitrogen tank this guy on this list of things I need to get him? I already bought all the rest. I found a small tank in a sporting goods store, designed for paintball - it is much too small. Ideas?

Nitrogen and welding do not mix! I guess you have to do with air conditioning or the cause of labor than soldering is the only thing (I know) that is used for nitrogen. When using nitrogen in the welding you get porosity in welds not even soldering. If the guy who will do the job can not give you a source of where to find the supplies I would not use it.

I am a welder Leary without its own equipment. I am a plumber by trade and I never dream of telling a potential customer to purchase equipment I needed to finish the job. Not very professional. If you want to continue to follow this path of nitrogen response to your question is the size you want nitrogen tank ab I know they are available, I have used before trying to contact a company supplying hospitals air such as air Prax.

it will probably cost you more than hiring a welder for a day? Cannot you find a gas MIG welding fairly cheap / no gas they start at £ 100 $ 150 Whatever
Your welder is used for factory welders, welders are high quality and very expensive!
The shielding gas, but as far as I know you can mig weld without gas! and 100%, you can paste (arc) welding without shielding gas

Your welds will not be X-rayed for quality

I think you need a welder that comes with the proper equipment also some insurance. It will be cheaper in the long term. Besides, it must be quite irritating to think that the air we breathe is nitrogen 80% and you can not "have.

You will also find a portable nitrogen tank supply store CVC, as Johnstone. Or other local supply stores. You'll need a regulator, too.

If you are able to move the thing you are welding you can go to a local fabrication shop. They will charge about $ 70 - $ 80 an hour, I think.
