Cany anyone tell me how to sharpen my gardening tools? I'm looking for a way to sharpen garden tools (shovels, shears, loppers, lawn mower blade, etc.). I heard this is a good thing to do but I have trouble finding good sources of information. Thank you for any information!
Matt
Your question is a large area. The diversity of garden tools is unbelievable, but I'll make some comments.
Sharpening tools, garden or otherwise, is a process of restoring the form and plant technology. A few good records (do not skimp on the files, the files are that cheap) are essential. A defect in average size of a reasonable quality will make life much easier. One fine day, but not necessary is a grinder midcost medium. A six-inch grinder will do excellent work on damaged tools provided they are recoverable. All that remains is elbow grease and patience.
Sharpen propelled as the chainsaw, hedge trimmer and so on can be somewhat complicated. Some hands on instruction would be very useful in this area. Some items in the category of power mower blades are achievable likes Gardner weekend. An auditor of balance, usually available where mowers and mower parts are sold, is important. Keep the blade balance is important for the safety and life expectancy of your engine mower. I do mower blades with a file. Some use a grinder, I think it's a matter of personal preferance and perhaps the speed required by professional sharpener.
I did a search on Yahoo, "How to sharpen garden tools. I received several blows from books and magazine articles. Take a look at the bookshelf in a home improvement center. You may find something.
Last thought: You are of course free to spend your money as you want, but I do not want to spend my money on one of sharpeners at low prices. Sharpening tools simply too many variables to make one of them get my money.

These are some sites that I come with. I'll be shopping at the store, because I need to do it too!
For the shovel, lawn mowers and other small objects that you can use a bastard file, which is available at any hardware or home store. An angle grinder works great on the blade of a lawn mower and other tools that require further grinding to obtain a benefit. A lathe can also be useful. Good luck
