Flat Panel Pole Mount

Flat Panel Pole MountIf I had solar panels on a building ...?

Which side of the building I put them and what part of the roof? The summit?

It is not easy. In general, the placement to maximize sun exposure while minimizing the risks, threats, and expenditures:
* South facing in the Northern Hemisphere, tilted upward from the level approximately the latitude of the installation. At the equator, they can lay flat. At the north pole, vertical.
* Away from chimneys, vents, combustion, overhanging trees, etc.
* Reduce exposure to strong wind, or at least reduce the deleterious effects of strong winds pick up or remove the signs.
* Information reasonably easy access for maintenance

They should not rest directly on the roof saying "flush". Usually, a lattice frame style or tower is mounted on the roof or floor and the panels are mounted on it. See these examples:

There is also "tracker" systems that face the panel toward the sun as a function of time of day and day of the year.

South facing roof part that Sun at least eight hours per day without shade trees or surrounding buildings.
